Walking into the production halls of MayAir China, you were greeted with a lively and orderly work scene. Workers in lines raced against time and made ordered products. It was reported that more than 1,700 air filters were ordered by some hospitals in the past two days.
MayAir China, located in Moling Street, Jiangning District, was an enterprise dedicated to producing air filtration products. The company continuously provided primary and high-efficiency filters for hospitals such as Huoshenshan and Leishenshan Hospitals since the third day of the Chinese New Year. The persons in charge of the company paid more attention to the Covid-19, and prepared 2,000 masks, more than 100 bottles of disinfectant, more than 70 liters of disinfectant alcohol, 4 sets of protective clothing, 4 goggles and 3 forehead temperature guns in advance. We got the task to support Huoshenshan and Leishenshan Hospitals on the fourth day of the Chinese New Year, and the products must be delivered within 4 days." Qian Haiyan, manager of the administrative department, said that the company resumed work at small scale on February 1, and 21 healthy local employees who did not leave Nanjing within 15 days tried their best and others stood by 24 hours a day. After 4 days of uninterrupted working around the clock, 1,200 filters were successfully completed.
MayAir China officially resumed work on February 12, and the company had a stricter management system. All persons needed to register in detail and had their body temperature measured before entering the site, new masks for employees were delivered every 4 hours and fixed-point disinfection were carried out twice a day in the office area, so as to efficiently prevent the decease.
