Recently, the Science and Technology Department of Jiangsu Province announced the results of the 2021 Jiangsu Science and Technology Award. MayAir Technology (China) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "MayAir"), being the unit to complete with a second achievement for "Key Technology and Application of High Efficiency and Low Resistance Bacteria of Glass Microfiber Air Filter Material", had won the third prize.

In this project, MayAir had solved the problem by optimizing the design for the pleat number and pleat height of the glass fiber filter material to achieve the lowest comprehensive resistance of the glass fiber filter material resistance and structural resistance. According to the simulation results, the filter production process parameter setting is guided, so as to ensure the optimal filter resistance and achieve the optimal coupling of the filter material and the filter. The filter developed by the project has been promoted and had been applied to many hospitals, meeting the needs of the medical system for air purification, and accomplishing large-scale application in the air conditioning and ventilation system of medical buildings.

The Jiangsu Provincial Science and Technology Award is established by the Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government to implement the policy of respecting human resources, knowledge, talent and creativity. Another aim is to promote scientific and technological progress, by arousing enthusiasm and creativity among the scientific and technological workers, and accelerating the building of innovative provinces. It is the highest-level award in the field of science and technology in the province. In addition, it aims to reward the units and individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the scientific and technological activities in the province. The award is a "touchstone" or standard for testing the gold content of scientific and technological development.
